I grew up in the beautiful Northwest United States surrounded by mountains, trees and rivers. I love fishing and walking about the giant trees of the Oregon rain forest. My hometown, Portland, Oregon is a melting pot of diversity with people from all over the world. In school, I had great teachers and coaches that taught me how to be a positive impact on the culture around me. Because of these people, I wanted to become a teacher. In my ten years of teaching, I have been a Grade 5 teacher, Middle School Science teacher and a K-Grade 12 Art teacher, and now a Character Education teacher.
